INGREDIENTS

  • 6 boneless pork loin chops (more chops if needed)

  • ½ cup flour

  • 250 ml buttermilk

  • Panko breadcrumbs or any other dried breadcrumbs

  • salt and pepper

  • spices to taste

  • vegetable oil

  • dried herbs

METHOD

  • To make these delicious and crispy pork chops, preheat your oven to 200°C. Then prepare three different bowls as follows:
  • Bowl 1: Combine the flour, one teaspoon of salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Bowl 2: Add buttermilk.
  • Bowl 3: Add breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each pork chop in the flour mixture, one at a time, and then dip it into the buttermilk, followed by the panko or breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Arrange no more than two pork chops in the skillet at a time and cook until the meat is golden brown. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Once done, set the pork chops aside.
  • Transfer the pork chops to a preheated oven and cook until they are done, which should take an additional 30 minutes or so.
