Christie Lee Kennedy is acquitted of killing her husband and his lover

A mother-of-two accused of killing her husband’s lover with her BMW after discovering their affair is judged NOT GUILTY.

A Brisbane jury has been discharged from the trial of a woman who is accused of intentionally driving over her husband and his lover after discovering them together.

Christie Lee Kennedy, 37, who was found not guilty on two charges, had been married to David Larkin for nearly a decade when she discovered in March 2021 that he was having an affair with Zowie Noring.

After discovering Mr. Larkin and Ms. Noring together at Wavell Heights in northern Brisbane, the mother of two is accused of purposefully driving them over with her BMW SUV.

Christie Lee Kennedy (left) was found not guilty of two charges of malicious conduct with intent to cripple for running over her husband David Larkin (right) and his lover Zowie Noring (center).

The District Court has heard that Kennedy also exited her vehicle, grabbed Ms. Noring by the hair, and repeatedly punched her while yelling profanities.

Kennedy stated she had been in a state of shock and had not intended to hit the pair with her vehicle.

Friday afternoon, the jury in her trial before Judge Tony Moynihan began deliberations.

Ms. Kennedy (above) is still charged with two counts of assault resulting in bodily injury while armed and pleaded guilty to unlawful assault for assaulting Ms. Noring.

On Monday afternoon, a majority of the jury found Kennedy not guilty of two counts of malicious actions with the intent to cripple.

The jury was unable to reach a unanimous or majority decision on the alternative charges of two counts of assault resulting in bodily injury while armed.

Kennedy had already pled guilty to assault.

The jury was discharged, and Kennedy’s case is scheduled to be discussed on September 15.
