Christie Lee Kennedy denies intentionally running over her husband and mistress. Kennedy learned in March 2021 that her husband David Larkin was having an affair.

She stated, “I had no intention of hitting either of them with my automobile.”

When Christie Lee Kennedy witnessed her husband kissing another woman, she felt as though her entire existence had been shattered.

However, the 37-year-old woman has denied intentionally colliding with her unfaithful husband and his mistress mere seconds afterwards.

In March 2021, Kennedy, who had been married to David Larkin for about a decade, found that he was having an affair with Zowie Noring.

After discovering Mr. Larkin and Ms. Noring together at Wavell Heights in northern Brisbane, the mother of two is accused of purposefully driving them over with her BMW SUV.

The District Court has heard that Kennedy also exited her vehicle, grabbed Ms. Noring by the hair, and repeatedly punched her while yelling profanities.

When she learned her husband was visiting a park she didn’t recognize for the third time in a week, Kennedy stated that her only intention was to find out what he was doing.

Kennedy observed her husband ‘kissing, touching, and embracing’ Ms. Noring as she approached the park in her automobile.

“I could not believe my eyes. In essence, my entire existence had been shattered,’ Kennedy sobbed in court.

Kennedy stated that she abandoned her intention to “hidden and observe” since her husband and Ms. Noring swiftly saw her.

Instead, she accelerated down the street in an attempt to “catch him out.”

‘Then (I) realised oh my God … I remember hitting on the brakes, trying to stop (but) I already hit them,’ she said.

In no way did I mean to strike either of them.

Kennedy stated that she exited her vehicle in disbelief.

‘I was shaking. I was nearing collapse. I yelled at her, and I believe I punched her a couple of times, but I was so shocked, incredulous, and trembling,’ she recalled.

I simply did not anticipate discovering what I did.

Kennedy stated that she believed she had a great marriage before to the incident.

However, she initially got concerned when Mr. Larkin began claiming he would leave work early to pick up his children.

Kennedy remarked, “That was really out of character for him, as he usually worked long hours.”

She stated that when she dialed Mr. Larkin’s number to determine if the children had been collected, his phone was either off or busy.

Kennedy was concerned when she used a phone locating app and saw that Mr. Larkin was in a park she was unfamiliar with.

Kennedy stated, “I mentioned to (a friend) that Dave was attending this park, and she remarked that it was close to Zowie’s workplace.”

Then, her acquaintance informed her that Ms. Noring had been communicating with Mr. Larkin via a messaging app.

Kennedy stated, “I asked, “Is there something going on between David and Zowie?” and she responded, “Oh no, I really doubt it.”

She stated that Mr. Larkin visited the park twice in three days, according to the phone location application.

Kennedy decided to drive to the place after it occurred a third time, despite her husband’s assurances the night before that “everything was fine.”

She stated that she intended to go there, conceal, observe, then return to work and discuss it with her husband that evening.

Kennedy has entered not-guilty pleas on two charges of harmful actions with the intent to disable.

She has admitted to committing criminal assault.

The trial continues before Judge Tony Moynihan.
