Christie Lee Kennedy attacked her husband and his mistress in Brisbane

Christie Lee Kennedy reportedly drove her BMW into her husband and his girlfriend at their Brisbane meeting location shortly after learning of the affair.

The mother-of-two yelled “fat moll” as she exited her vehicle, grabbed the mistress by the hair, and struck her in the head, according to testimony given in Queensland District Court.

When her “life came crumbling down” in March 2021, Kennedy, 37, had been married to David Larkin for nine years and had known him for more than ten years.

She was put in a situation that no one would want to be in. According to defence attorney Penny White, the defendant learned that her spouse “was having an affair with another lady.”

After she learned, “the events that followed from that realisation… all transpired in a matter of seconds,”

Kennedy located her husband using a phone location app, and she found him chatting to his girlfriend by the side of the road in Wavell Heights, in Brisbane’s north, the court was told.

Crown prosecutor Jennifer O’Brien said that Kennedy drove into the couple after accelerating in their direction on the wrong side of the road for “a while.”

The event was recorded on camera by a neighbouring home’s CCTV system.

According to Ms. O’Brien, “the film will show that they were lined up, struck, and rolled off the bonnet.”

No effort was made to swerve away or alter route to prevent her from colliding (the pair).

Simply said, the defendant “driven her automobile,” a significant and strong item, and ran them over.”

After talking to the lady for a few minutes, Mr. Larkin said, he heard a vehicle “accelerating rapidly” and glanced up to see his wife’s BMW, which he recognised thanks to the personalised licence plates.

He said that “coming to on the freeway” was the next memory he had.

According to Ms. O’Brien, Mr. Larkin then saw his wife seizing the victim by the hair and repeatedly striking her while uttering expletives like “slut.”

Mr. Larkin had wounds to his head, bruises and swelling of his arm and leg, rib discomfort, and a dislocated finger.

In addition to abrasions on her arms, shoulders, and head, the lady also had injuries to her thighs and ankles.

Mr. Larkin said that while he had known the lady for many years via acquaintances, they had just recently grown close after sharing similar “traumatic experiences” in the weeks leading up to the incident.

He admitted to cheating on his wife after first denying it and going on to characterise his marriage as “pretty rough.”

If you want to call it that, we were having an affair, Mr. Larkin said under cross-examination.

Kennedy entered a not guilty plea to two charges of inflicting great bodily injury by illegal striking.

She admitted to committing an illegal attack.

The case is still being heard by Judge Tony Moynihan.
