Carling Cup Voting Open

Carling Cup Voting Open

The redesigned Carling Black Label Cup was formally unveiled on Tuesday, and voting is now open for football fans.

South Africa’s football-loving audience is familiar with the name of the competition, but it will return under a new structure with two additional clubs competing at FNB Stadium, where all four matches, including the final, are scheduled for Saturday, November 12.

The intriguing new competition was introduced in June of this year, and all 16 DStv Premiership teams have a chance to make the final cut, with only four teams set to compete.

The Buccaneers have emerged as one of the early frontrunners for a position in the competition, claiming second place on the standings after Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs. Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu round out the top four.

However, this is only the beginning, as additional votes will be counted over the course of the next week and more seats on the table will likely change hands.

Fans are strongly encouraged to continue casting their ballots in order to choose who will be allowed to run out at Soccer City on the day in question. This can be accomplished by purchasing a promotional Carling Black Label beer, dialing *120*660#, and following the on-screen instructions to ensure that the Bucs will be participating in the Carling Black Label Cup.

Voting is restricted to individuals older than 18 years old.
