Media Accreditation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Now Open

Media Accreditation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Now Open

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM media accreditation process is now open to the media and non-rights holders, FIFA and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC (Q22) are happy to announce.

The 15th of August 2022 is the due date for accreditation requests. The accreditation procedure for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is explained in this video.

The media accreditation form needs a special control key to be accessed. For distribution to their respective national media organizations and representatives, FIFA’s member associations have received a set number of written press and photographer accreditations.

A media representative can submit an application for accreditation through the FIFA Media Hub after receiving a control key from your member association or media organization.

Radio and television stations without FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 broadcasting rights are known as non-rights holders (NRHs).

NRHs won’t need a control key to apply for media accreditation. It should be emphasized that there will be relatively few NRH accreditations available and that matchday entrance to stadiums will not be permitted.

FIFA TV will be directly in charge of media rights licensee accreditation (rights-holding television and radio stations).

The Media Rights Licensees will be immediately informed on the accreditation process and other things pertaining to accreditation by the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing team, who are in regular contact with them.

Here is also a reference paper with advice and rules for media accreditation.

A distinct and portable FIFA World CupTM

The FIFA World Cup 2022TM will be the tournament’s smallest since its first edition in 1930.

For the first time ever, the group stage will include four matches each day, with all the action taking place in and around Doha.

This eliminates the need for internal flights and gives fans the option of reserving a single hotel room for the duration of the competition.

FIFA and Q22 will take full use of this special configuration and provide accredited media with centralized, cutting-edge infrastructure and services for their convenience.

The Main Media Centre (MMC), which will be located at the DECC alongside the International Broadcasting Centre, will act as a transportation hub for the eight incredible stadiums, including Education City Stadium, which is only four kilometers from the MMC and Al Bayt Stadium, which is 45 kilometers away.

Please be aware that media registration will only be accepted for a maximum of two non-concurrent matches per day, and only during the group stage. This is for planning concerns.

This is done to give enough time for transit between the sites. However, the MMC will provide fully functional facilities so that authorized reporters can watch the games and post-game press conferences remotely.

Additionally, the MMC will serve as the focal location for all pre-game press conferences on matchday 1.
