Kaizser Chiefs vs. Orlando Pirates in Carling Black Label Cup

Since the two most favored clubs in the nation were paired to compete in the 2022 Carling Black Label Cup semifinal round, there is little prospect of another evenly matched Kaizer Chiefs vs. Orlando Pirates final.

The annual charity extravaganza in 2022 will take place on Saturday, November 12 at FNB Stadium. The event has also gone by the names Iwisa Charity and Telkom Charity Spectaculars throughout the years. It had always been a preseason game.

The four teams for the competition were chosen by public vote, which ended on Sunday. The scores were: 490 376 for Kaizer Chiefs, 354 474 for Orlando Pirates, 171 717 for Mamelodi Sundowns, and 144 829 for AmaZulu.

Swallows had been in the top four at one point in the voting process, but AmaZulu supporters made a strong push in the closing days. AmaZulu ultimately edged Swallows to the finish line.

Sundowns and AmaZulu were partnered in the first semi-final, which begins at 9 am, during the draw on Monday night. At 12:00, the Chiefs and Pirates match will follow.

The third-and-fourth place play-off and the final will take place in the afternoon to conclude the single-day competition.

Fans have the opportunity to vote for all 16 PSL clubs, who will nonetheless get a portion of the sponsor’s prize money, even if only four teams have qualified. Each of the four semifinalists will get R2 million, and the winner will receive a further R2 million. Each of the remaining 12 DStv Premiership clubs will get R100 000 in participation bonuses.

Cash will also be awarded to a fortunate football fan.

Because printed tickets won’t be honored at the gates, this year’s event will be different from others. At the entrance gate, ticket holders must present their digital ticket on a digital device for scanning.
