Monday morning, a boy’s arm was amputated after it was severed in a subway accident in Queens.

The 15-year-old was injured by a passing R train while on the northbound platform at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition shortly before 11.30 a.m.

Police do not suspect any criminal activity.

He was subsequently rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where his status was classified as stable shortly before 11:30 a.m.

Police have not yet disclosed the specific circumstances behind the boy’s injury, but they do not suspect criminal activity.

They are currently evaluating accident-related camera footage at the scene, as trains continue to bypass the station.

Since then, the MTA has reported that northbound M and R trains are bypassing Roosevelt Avenue while police continue their investigation; delays are anticipated.

Following the collision at roughly 10:10am, MTA employees rushed to the tracks.

In the meantime, another MTA employee was seen wiping the platform where blood had been sprayed before the platform filled with New Yorkers who were angry by the delays.

At the scene of the accident, where a child lost his left arm, police were present.
