According to reports, a boy’s arm was “severed off” in a subway mishap on a Queens platform on Monday morning and had to be amputated.

The youngster, who is said to be 12 years old, was hurt shortly before 10.30 am as he was on the northbound E, F, M, R platform at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station, according to the Patch.

He was subsequently transported urgently to Bellevue Hospital, where his status was assessed as stable just before 11.30am.

The precise cause of the boy’s injuries is still a mystery according to the police.

As police inspected the incident, photos acquired by DailyMail.com showed blood splattering the subway platform’s floor.

Since then, the MTA has said that delays are anticipated and that northbound M and R trains are avoiding Roosevelt Avenue while police continue their investigation.
