In her speech Meghan Markle told only one anecdote about women during the speech to about 2,000 people and gushed about Prince Harry and the 'life-changing' impact of becoming a mother to Archie

This was Meghan’s first speech in the United Kingdom since ‘Megxit’ in 2020.

A young Australian woman referred to Meghan Markle as a “trainwreck” following her seven-minute address on gender equality.

On Monday, the Duchess of Sussex delivered her first personal address in the United Kingdom since resigning from her position as a working royal during the “Megxit” scandal more than two years ago.The seven-minute speech was the first in-person address by Meghan Markle in Britain since she and Prince Harry (pictured) quit as working royals amid the Megxit crisis more than two years ago

The Duchess of Sussex faced backlash after she told The Cut (pictured on the magazine's cover) a cast member of the Lion King in 2019 said South Africans had 'danced in the street' when she married Prince Harry - just like they did when 'Mandela was freed from prison'

Meghan told the One Young World summit audience at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, “It is wonderful to be back in the United Kingdom” before urged young leaders to “secure their place in history” by working to “build a brighter future.”

In a Wednesday TikTok video, however, the Australian social media user ‘gowokegobrokeaus’ criticized the speech and claimed Meghan Markle was ‘not authentic, scripted, and artificial.’

Who witnessed Meghan Markle’s address?

… It was a disaster, and she has not been having a good run recently. All of this notoriety is doing her absolutely no favors,’ she remarked.

“I really want to like her because I like Harry, and he seems like a genuinely kind and honest person.

I believe that the issue with her is that she is so insincere, and everything that comes out of her mouth sounds so scripted and artificial.

Meghan Markle is attempting to position herself as a modern-day Oprah Winfrey, according to Gowokegobrokeaus, but she lacks the difficulties and backstory of the media titan.

TikToker Gowokegobrokeaus (shown) referred to Meghan Markle’s address at the One Young World summit as a “train crash” and criticized her for being “disingenuous” and “artificial.”

In a TikTok video with over 16,500 views, Gowokegobrokeaus refers to Meghan Markle as a ‘diva’ and a’spoiled brat’ whose private life contradicts the public image she is attempting to create.

She remarked, “She tries to be encouraging with her words and speeches, but she does nothing in her life to back that up.”

She contradicts all the kind things she says in public by being a real diva and spoiled brat behind closed doors.

It’s quite difficult to reconcile her public and private selves… It is quite difficult to feel a connection with her genuine self or to know who she truly is because everything is a mask.

The video titled “Meghan is unraveling” has divided TikTok users, with some supporting the young woman’s assertions.

I do not believe either of them to be kind or sincere. One commenter stated that they are both spoiled brats who seek praise for being wealthy and having ideas.

Her speeches/interviews all include the same words… arranged differently. It’s still THE.SAME. STORY… all about her,’ wrote another person.

Third person: “I agree, I want to like her, she’s a strong, independent lady, but she lies or distorts the facts too much to be genuine.”

Other users dissented and labeled Gowokegobroaus a “hater” who had not conducted adequate study.

‘I disagree. One person added, “Everyone has their own perspective, but to imply she doesn’t support it implies you haven’t done your study.”

In the big scheme of things, what impact does she have on you? Get a life-hater, said another individual.

Another remark stated, ‘Her speech was fantastic and inspiring… there is NO problem and she is 100% real… you just don’t like her… just another woman hating on another woman.’

During her speech to approximately 2,000 people, Meghan Markle shared only one story about women and raved over Prince Harry and the ‘life-changing’ impact of becoming a mother to Archie.

The seven-minute speech was Meghan Markle’s first public address in Britain in more than two years, since she and Prince Harry (pictured) resigned as working royals after the Megxit crisis.

The Daily Mirror’s royal editor, Russell Myers, described the equality-themed address in Manchester as a “lost opportunity.”

He told ITV’s Lorraine that the speech to 2,000 delegates at the opening ceremony ‘was a bit too focused on her own experiences’

During her speech to approximately 2,000 people, the former actress shared only one anecdote about women and raved about Prince Harry and the ‘life-changing’ impact of becoming a mother to Archie.

She expressed satisfaction in being a mother at one point and appeared tearful when the audience applauded. She then described how her life had ‘shifted substantially,’ maybe in relation to Archie, the Royal Family, and Megxit.

Meghan informed the predominantly youthful audience in 2014 how she started involved with the organization. The speaker announced to the audience that they must “seize the moment” and not be paralyzed by self-doubt: “In many ways, I was probably much like you; I was young and ambitious.”

She questioned her success, referring to herself as “the girl from Suits” who was eventually “asked to draw up a seat at the table” alongside influential leaders, prime ministers, humanitarians, and campaigners. She also discussed the first time she was asked to be a counselor and the “pinch me” sensation she experienced.

“I was so moved by this experience that I saved my tiny paper place-marker with my name on it,” she recalled, adding, “It was just proof: proof that I was there, proof that I belonged, because the fact was, I wasn’t sure.”

Her seven-minute address was a jibe-free missive that came just days after her controversial interview with The Cut magazine, in which she said it takes “a lot of effort” to forgive and intimated that she can “say anything,” which was interpreted by some as a threat to the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Sussex attracted controversy after she told The Cut (shown on the magazine’s cover) that a cast member from the 2019 production of The Lion King stated South Africans ‘danced in the streets’ when she married Prince Harry, just as they did when Nelson Mandela was released from jail.

Natalie (shown with David Koch) referred to Meghan Markle as a “tosser” on-air after the Duchess of Sussex likened herself to Nelson Mandela.

Meghan Markle stated in an interview with The Cut magazine that she and Prince Harry ‘upset the hierarchy simply by existing’ prior to their 2020 retirement as senior working royals.

The Duchess of Sussex also asserted that she had been likened to South African icon Nelson Mandela, a comment for which she has been dubbed a “tosser.”

Meghan Markle reported in 2019 that a member of the cast of The Lion King stated that South Africans ‘danced in the streets’ after she married Prince Harry, exactly as they did when Nelson Mandela was released from jail.

In an astonishing on-air rage, Australian Sunrise TV host Natalie Barr called Megan a “tosser” in response to the statement.

“I believe in Australia we would say she is full of it. She is a thrower. She is a complete tosspot! This is how we would characterize her. She stated, “I just can’t stand the way she speaks.”

Barr, 54, who is known for her conservative approach to broadcasting, was uncharacteristically forthright when she informed her co-anchor David ‘Kochie’ Koch that she ‘couldn’t even stomach reading the entire piece’
