According to court documents, Torres informed police that ‘the devil’ instructed him to murder three individuals. When queried by authorities whether he had done so, he said, “I think so.”
In the week preceding up to the assault, Torres’ wife reported to authorities that he was behaving strangely, and he told police he was experiencing “trouble with his brain.”
According to investigators, family members also stated he was taking odd drugs.
The wounded pair has been together for some years, according to the couple’s attorney, Chris Goodnow, who said, “It’s a really horrible tragedy.”

According to a GoFundMe page created for the couple, which has now gathered more than $6,700, Heward is a retired Army veteran and Lenehan was a former caretaker.
Together, the couple has four sons and six grandchildren.
‘This devastating incident will never be undone and will keep them from doing everything they love during retirement for the foreseeable future,’ stated the fundraiser.
