In the midst of a spate of stabbings in the capital, a teenager has died after being stabbed in broad daylight in Tottenham, north London.

The 17-year-old, who was the seventh person to be knifed in London in less than 24 hours, died from his injuries about 12:10 p.m. today (June 18) in Orchard Place.

‘Officers attended the location and administered first aid.

‘Despite their best efforts, and those of ambulance colleagues, the 17-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene. An urgent investigation is under way.

‘Two males have been arrested in connection with the incident and both have been taken into police custody.’

The attack is the latest in a slew of attacks across the city in the last 24 hours.

The first incident occurred on Friday at 2 p.m. in Bromley, south London.

Following a contact to emergency services, a man in his twenties was discovered with several stab wounds on Beckenham Lane and was flown to hospital by air ambulance. There have been no arrests as of yet.

Later in the day, a double stabbing occurred in Hackney.

At around 4:50 p.m., police were summoned to the scene on Daubeney Road after a brawl.

The Met Police stated in a statement, ‘Two males were taken to hospital suffering stab injuries. Neither is in a life-threatening condition.

‘Both males have been arrested in connection with the incident.’

On Friday evening, a second double stabbing happened on Hampstead Heath, resulting in the hospitalization of two teenagers, aged 17 and 18.

At 7.30 p.m., police were dispatched to the London park after receiving reports of a group of people fighting.

According to the Express, no arrests have been made.

A 16-year-old was stabbed on Crystal Palace Parade, south London, later that day and was brought to hospital.

Just after 9 p.m., police arrived on the scene, and the teen was brought to the hospital.

The recent spate of stabbings prompted police to request two Section 60 warrants, which allow authorities expanded authority to stop and search anyone in a specific area.
