Teenager stabbed to death during a ‘mass brawl’ in East London has today been named by police

Police named a teenager who was stabbed to death during a “mass brawl” in East London today.

Shae Gordon, 17, from Enfield, was allegedly slain in a massive street fight involving 100 men, some of whom were armed with machetes.

Met Police officers were sent to the scene in Lichfield Road, E3, just after midnight on September 4, when they discovered two adolescents with stab wounds.

Shae was transported to the hospital but was declared dead just before 2 a.m. The second victim of the attack remains in critical condition.

Officers apprehended an 18-year-old man on suspicion of violent conduct; he is still detained.

The incident, which happened on the same day as the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Maximillian Kusi-Owusu on Kensington High Street, is one of the most recent in the capital’s murderous summer.

It also occurs only days after Takayo Nembhard, a 21-year-old footballer-turned-drill rapper, was fatally murdered during the Notting Hill Carnival.
