Holly Newton, also known as Holly Olivia, was stabbed shortly after her school dismissal on Friday evening.

Holly Olivia was regarded by her friends as a “beautiful” girl who enjoyed dancing.

One buddy stated on Facebook, “We live in such a cruel world.” It breaks my heart that you were taken away from us at such a young age.

In a poignant memorial, relatives and friends left letters, floral tributes, and teddy bears yesterday in front of the Halifax bank on Priestpopple in Hexham, Northumberland.

One of the messages left by a loved one reads, “All of our love to the most beautiful girl in the world.” Holly, we will miss you forever.

Another version reads: “To our baby Holly.” Our hearts are aching so badly right now. We adore you so much’.

In less than a day, donations surpassed the £3,000 goal of a memorial GoFundMe page established in memory of Holly.

On Friday, shortly after 5:10 p.m., Northumbria Police received a report of an injured teenage boy and girl in the Priestpopple neighborhood of Hexham.

Yesterday morning, floral tributes were placed at the scene of a double stabbing in Hexham, Northumberland, where Holly Olivia died from her wounds.

Emergency personnel responded to a scene where a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl received severe injuries “consistent with having been caused by a bladed object.” Both were rushed to the hospital, where the girl died that evening; the child sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

During this tragic time, specially-trained officers are assisting both families, according to the police department. A 16-year-old boy was arrested initially on suspicion of assault and later on suspicion of murder when an inquiry was initiated. He is currently in police detention.

‘Our thoughts are with all loved ones during this terrible time, and we are doing everything we can to assist them. We are committed to determine what occurred and put those responsible to justice.’

Northumbria Officers Chief Superintendent Sam Rennison referred to it as “tragic news” and stated that police believe all persons involved are acquainted with one another.

At a press conference on Saturday, she stated, “Our hearts go out to her loved ones during this truly tragic time.”

A 16-year-old child who was hurt during the event remains in stable condition in the hospital.

Additionally, he and his family remain in our thoughts. While the inquiry is still in its earliest phases, we believe that all those involved are acquainted with one another.

We appreciate the continuous support and cooperation of the general population.

Particularly, those who attempted to aid the injured boy and girl yesterday at the scene.

Derek Kennedy, the mayor of Hexham, stated, ‘It’s an absolute tragedy, the town is in utter disbelief, and the loss of one of our youngsters who attends a local high school is horrifying.’

“Parents are extremely concerned for their children’s health because they are all a part of this community, and schools are equally concerned that their students are feeling the pain, suffering, and shock of such a tragic event.”

We have a relatively low crime rate in the Hexham community, and we generally watch out for one another; we were named the happiest location to live in Great Britain last year.

“It’s a very warm and loving community, so when a tragedy like this occurs, it’s always more difficult for us, and it’s knocked everyone for a six.”

“To occur to such a young person and for the alleged perpetrator to also be a young person on the high street at 5 p.m. is just shocking, everyone is just shocked and struggling to come to terms with it, and it will ruin so many lives,” said the speaker.
