During a dispute about his appearance with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry alleges his brother ‘lunged’ at him and ‘grabbed his shirt twice’ in front of their father.

In his explosive memoir, Harry describes how Prince William was’shouting’ and’really hot’ when he grabbed him during the disagreement in front of then-Prince Charles following their grandfather’s burial.

William then reportedly used a secret code phrase referencing Princess Diana and hugged Harry, telling him, “I love you” and “I want you to be happy.”

Details of the feud emerged just days after it was disclosed in Harry’s book that William once hurt him by pushing him over a dog dish on the kitchen floor of his cottage residence on the Kensington Palace grounds in 2019.

During a dispute over his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry alleges his brother ‘lunged’ at him and ‘grabbed his shirt twice’ after Prince Philip’s funeral, in front of their father. William and Harry are photographed in April 2021 during the funeral.

Reportedly, the fight began when Harry, William, and Charles were discussing the interview he and Meghan Markle gave to Oprah the previous month. During the interview, photos of the Sussexes are taken.

In his new book, ‘Spare,’ the Duke of Sussex, aged 38, describes how his brother became agitated during a half-hour walk near Frogmore Cottage after Philip’s funeral on April 17, 2021.

Harry asserts he attempted to address the bullying allegations made against Meghan, but his father and brother “weren’t listening.”

The California-based royal further claimed that William was “really fuming” and grabbed him as he attempted to flee.

“In disgust, I waved my hand, but he lunged and grabbed my shirt. According to The Sun, Harry writes in his book, “Listen to me, Harold,”

I retreated, refusing to meet his stare. I was compelled to peek into his eyes. “Attention, Harold, attention! I cherish you, Harold! I wish for your happiness “‘

Harry claims he replied: ‘I love you too…

yet, your obstinacy is remarkable!’

The much-anticipated memoir of Prince Harry will be launched in the United Kingdom on January 10, but copies have already leaked and the book was unintentionally published in Spain early.

The Duke reportedly tried to break away, but William allegedly ‘grabbed him again’ and ‘twisted him’ so the pair could keep eye contact.

Harry wrote that William then invoked the so-called’secret code’ and vowed on Princess Diana’s life that his intentions were sincere.

He writes that William said: ‘Harold, you must listen to me! I only wish for your happiness, Harold. I swear I swear on Mummy’s life.’

Harry continued: ‘He paused. I paused. Pa halted. He’d gone there.

“He had employed the secret code, the universal password.” Since we were children, we were instructed to use these three words only in the most dire of circumstances.

The Duke asserted that his brother “wasn’t quite prepared to accept defeat” and that he was “properly sick and ill” due to the tensions between the two.

William apparently said, “I just want you to be happy” on the life of his mother.

Harry alleges his ‘voice broke’ and he ‘softly’ informed William: ‘I honestly don’t think you do.’

The elder brother purportedly then gave Harry a hug and stated, “I love you.”

MailOnline has reached out to William and Harry’s reps for comment.

In an extraordinary excerpt from his forthcoming autobiography Spare, Prince Harry recalls a physical assault by his brother, now the Prince of Wales, which he alleges left him with visible injuries.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (L) and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex attend the unveiling of a statue of their mother, Princess Diana, at The Sunken Garden, Kensington Palace, London on July 1, 2021.

The most recent allegation comes only days after a leaked excerpt of the forthcoming autobiography stated that Harry claimed William hurt him by slamming him onto a dog dish.

Harry claimed he argued with his brother at Nottingham Cottage in early 2019 during a discussion about their relationship, Harry’s disputes with the media, and Meghan.

The Duke of Sussex asserts that William then seized him by the collar, tore his necklace, and shoved him over in the kitchen, forcing him to land on a smashed dog dish and damage his back.

Before moving to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate in April 2019, Harry and Meghan resided in “Nott Cott,” a London residence located on the grounds of Kensington Palace.

In their explosive Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the couple described the residence as “so small,” with scenes from the documentary depicting cobblestone pathways and bushes bursting from the borders.

In an interview for the series, Harry stated, “The entire structure is slightly tilted and has extremely low ceilings.” Therefore, I do not know who was there previously, but they must have been really short.

Meghan smiled and revealed that due to Harry’s height, he frequently smacked his head.

Clips also showed Harry and Meghan performing home improvement projects, with the Duke varnishing a summer cottage and Meghan gardening.

The Duchess of Sussex stated, “People probably couldn’t believe what was going on behind the scenes at that time in our lives.”

Harry is seen eating chicken and cuddling with Meghan’s dog Guy on a cream sofa in a photo with a homey feel.

Oprah was among the visitors that came to the Sussexes’ cottage.
