This is the horrifying moment a professional drag racer was killed after his car smashed into a camera tower at 320 kilometers per hour after flipping over safety barriers.
Saturday evening at 7 o’clock, Sam Fenech was competing in a race at Willowbank Raceway west of Brisbane when the accident occurred.
The horrific footage depicts his vehicle brushing against the barrier wall before launching into the air and shattering upon impact.
Although paramedics attempted to revive Mr. Fenech, a prominent drag racer, he was pronounced dead at the site.
Mr. Fenech participated in the New Year’s Nitro drag racing event at Willowbank, which featured “top fuel dragsters.”
He was driving a Chevrolet Camaro and was battling against Kelvin Lyle’s Ford Mustang.
Mr. Fenech was captured shortly before the race began admiring his vehicle.
On social media, Willowbank Raceway reported his passing.
Sam Fenech, the driver of the Fabietti Racing Doorslammer, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a racing accident at Willowbank Raceway and passed away this evening.

As the accident is still being investigated by QLD Police and other agencies, there will be no additional public comments.
Mr. Fenech was engaged in a serious collision in Sydney in 2019 when his Chevrolet Camaro collided with a tire wall.
The Queensland Police report that a camera operator was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
People are being advised to avoid Champions Way, which leads to the racetrack.
The police stated that their forensic crash team is collaborating with Workplace Health and Safety on the investigation.
