Lewis Clark, 19, lost control of his friend’s Ford Fiesta while attempting to pass a motorcycle at ‘extreme’ speed on a dual carriageway and struck Courtney White, who was strolling on the sidewalk and listening to music, from behind.

Clark and his buddies departed the site of the horrific accident, leaving the young mother, whose 3-year-old daughter Evie was at home, to “die alone.” She died from head and neck injuries at the site.

When questioned by police, Clark initially claimed that the Fiesta had been stolen from him and his companion at knifepoint, but he eventually turned himself in and admitted he had been “f***ing around” for several days. After the funeral, Courtney's father and her grandfather lay flowers at the scene of the crash

At the Bournemouth Crown Court, Clark, now 20 years old, pleaded guilty to causing death by hazardous driving and was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison.

Lewis Clark, 19, lost control of his friend’s Ford Fiesta while attempting to pass a motorcycle at ‘extreme’ speed on a dual carriageway and struck Courtney White, who was strolling on the sidewalk and listening to music, from behind.

Courtney White, who was struck and killed by the kid racer, was a victim.

Miss White’s mother, Jasmine, who is currently parenting her 4-year-old granddaughter Evie, stated, “I’m not pleased with the sentence; it should have been longer.” The car’s owner should have also received compensation.

Mrs. White said in a victim impact statement read in court, “You fled, leaving her to die alone.” She was only 23 years old. We will never witness her wedding, nor will she witness her daughter’s first day of school.

Her daughter continues to cry for her mother. You are responsible for the abduction of a gorgeous young woman.

Joseph White, the father of Miss White, remarked, “How could somebody abandon a human and flee? I wouldn’t abandon an animal, let alone a person.

The court heard that the accident occurred when Clark met his buddies at a gas station on his motorcycle.

Joseph, Courtney’s father, and her grandfather assist in carrying her casket into the church.

Following the funeral, Courtney’s father and grandfather place flowers at the crash site.

Clark and Mr. Berry exchanged vehicles despite the fact that Clark had not passed his driving theory test and had not driven a car in over a year.

The prosecutor, Stuart Ellacott, stated that the defendant had a provisional license and was 19 years old.

There were no learner’s permits on the vehicle, and he was uninsured. CCTV footage captures him driving out onto the road without his headlights on.

Mr. Ellacott stated that witnesses in Poole, Dorset, observed the Fiesta traveling at around 95 mph on the 40 mph A3049.

The vehicle then lost control while attempting to pass one of Clark’s companions on a motorcycle.

Mr. Ellacott stated, “He subsequently attempted to correct this by steering to the left.” The vehicle then veered across the road in the direction of the curb. After striking the curb, the ball rebounds onto the pavement, where Miss White, regrettably, was standing.

“The suspect fled the scene.” The police were notified, and despite the paramedics’ best efforts, she was declared dead at the site.

Perhaps it is fortunate that she was profoundly unconscious. The cops were able to swiftly locate Mr. Berry’s address.

While he and the defendant were there, they returned. There, the assertion that the vehicle had been stolen at knifepoint was made.

Later, it was stated that they had been pursuing the vehicle in an attempt to rescue it. Clark insisted he had not seen the victim.

Judge Robert Pawson characterized Miss White as being “on the cusp of adulthood.”

Mr. Ellacott added that Clark turned himself in to police days after the incident because he “wanted to tell the truth.”

During the interview, he acknowledged to “f***ing around” before the accident. He admitted he was in a hurry to meet his friends.

Tim Bradbury, the defense attorney, stated that the defendant acknowledged ‘unequivocally’ responsibility for Miss White’s murder and has ‘no excuses for his behavior.

He stated, “He would do anything to turn back time, but he cannot.” He must confront the repercussions of his actions.

Mr. Bradbury referred to him as a “young, foolish, and immature young man attempting to impress his friends by passing them on the road.”

Clark was sentenced to jail by Judge Robert Pawson, who stated, “You were driving too fast. In your own words, you were f***ing around. You passed a motorcycle too closely.

You struck Courtney White, who was 23 years old and on the edge of adulthood, from behind.

She was facing in the opposite direction when her life was abruptly snuffed out.

‘The effect of your behaviour and your foolishness is that the pain for the White family continues to be acute.

Every day, her mother endures a nightmare.

‘The weight of your sentence will never come near to what the White family have to suffer, which will in fact be a life sentence’
