According to close companions, Jayden faces a lengthy road to rehabilitation, and things will change.

A young father is fighting for his life after being struck by an Uber while commuting to work on his e-scooter.

Jayden Moreton, 24, remains in an induced coma with brain swelling and hemorrhage at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

The construction apprentice and father was riding his e-scooter to work at Queens Wharf on Monday morning when he collided with a ridesharing vehicle at a crossroads in South Brisbane.

Friends have described his terrible injuries as they maintain a continual vigil at his hospital bedside, praying for a full recovery.

In addition to his shattered legs, he has fractures in his face, neck, and spine.

Doctors have been unable to determine the entire extent of Mr. Morton’s injuries because his body is currently under so much strain.

Thursday, April Copeland informed Daily Mail Australia that her friend’s condition remained “extremely severe.”

Another close friend of Nathan Cale described his partner’s father as a hard-working, generous, and loving individual.

Mr. Moreton celebrated Father’s Day with his five-year-old daughter Mercedes hours before the accident.

It is also believed that he was a former professional scooter rider who completed the Kokoda Trail as a teen.

Mr. Moreton had just begun an internship at Australian Post-Tensioning, where he rapidly became a beloved coworker.

The company stated on Thursday that Jayden is a valued and well-respected employee of AusPT who has left a lasting impression on those who have worked with him.

Ms. Copeland has established an online campaign to assist Mr. Moreton and his family with their financial burdens, which has raised almost $5000 in three days.

She wrote, “He is one of the finest, most generous-spirited guys you could ever meet.”

Everyone who loves him is praying for his recovery from this coma. If he does, things will be extremely different and difficult for him for a very long time.

Since the event, his family and friends have been by his bedside. Any assistance would be immensely welcomed; nobody is dealing well.

“Jay is such a diligent worker, and his recovery will be incredibly lengthy!”

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are currently investigating the cause of the accident that occurred near the junction of Edmondstone and Melbourne streets shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Monday.

The ridesharing driver was uninjured in the collision and administered first aid to the injured passenger until the arrival of emergency personnel.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision or its preceding moments to come forward.
