Alleged Plane crash reported in Durban: no crash was located in the Mt Moreland/Waterloo area in Kwazulu Natal

many emergency services in Durban and the surrounding area called Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) asking for help determining whether a small plane had crashed in the Mt Moreland/Waterloo region of Kwazulu Natal.

A private ambulance service made the initial call for help in order to determine whether a plane had actually crashed into a house. A Journalist who was looking for information about the scene’s location made a second call a short while later.

Then, a paramedic from a private search and rescue team got in touch with Reaction Unit SA to inquire about the location of a plane that was allegedly involved in a house crash. No crash was found despite a thorough search by response officers and medical personnel.

A woman living near the coast in Durban, KZN claimed to have seen a plane go down, according to information obtained through these Emergency Services. RUSA Officers were unable to confirm any information given because they were not in direct contact with the witness.

Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Controllers were contacted by the response officers, who then checked with other airports.

There were no reported missing light aircraft.
