A 12-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times last night in Poplar, London

After being stabbed numerous times in London last night by a bunch of men with machetes, a 12-year-old boy was taken directly to the hospital.

The young child was discovered in Poplar, east London, with many stab wounds to his upper torso. Police suspect a gang attack may have been to blame.

At 9.30 p.m. on July 18, emergency personnel arrived at Carradale House on St. Leonards Road in response to reports of a kid being stabbed outside in a residential area.

Ambulance staff took him to the Royal London Hospital, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers have confirmed no arrests have been made and the victim was just 12 years old.

Residents received a message warning them that the suspects might still be nearby and carrying weapons, according to My London.

As police believe their may be gang links involved in the incident, they also feel there is potential for retaliation attacks taking place near Poplar in the coming days.

A 12-year-old youngster was discovered with stab wounds, according to a Scotland Yard spokeswoman.

‘He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. His condition is not life threatening.’

In response to the attack, additional stop and search powers were granted from 10.30pm last night covering much of Tower Hamlets and Bromley.

However, these section 60 powers expired at 7am this morning.
