After being arraigned on both charges, Weston is being moved to the Bell County Jail and is being detained without bail.

Yolanda’s ex-husband and Amir’s father, Kineh N’Gaojia, is demanding that Weston get the death sentence.

According to his father’s Facebook postings and an online obituary, Amir died on New Year’s Day at the age of 21. It is unclear what caused his death.

Amir was arrested in 2020 for allegedly threatening and firing at a family member after an argument over a video game controller. Amir has a prior criminal record.

Amir was out on bail for aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon at the time of the incident, and a GPS tracking device he was carrying enabled authorities to follow him to the property.

Police in Killeen reported that a second victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was discharged from the scene.

Amir’s family had planned a balloon release to celebrate his 22nd birthday when his mother was murdered.

Photos of the crime scene show gunshot holes in a Chevrolet Camaro, with police hurrying to the scene on State Route 195.

A representative for the Killeen Police Department said that the investigation is ongoing.
