Police seal a western Sydney cemetery due to violence fears

Due to worries that violent altercations between mourning family members of rival gangsters could break out, police have been ordered to guard a cemetery in Sydney’s west.

Officers from Auburn have been to the Rockwood Cemetery recently to make sure the city’s biggest cemetery is secure for law-abiding mourners.

The police were called after a violent altercation between Yusuf Nazlioglu, a former Lone Wolf biker, and the mother of murdered Comanchero bikie leader Mick Hawi.

According to a police source who spoke to the Daily Telegraph, Nazlioglu had been paying homage to a deceased friend while Mrs. Hawi had been at her son’s grave.

Nazlioglu was not to responsible for the incident earlier this year, despite claims from certain outlets that he spat at the mother of the murdered bikie.

In 2018, a NSW Supreme Court jury exonerated Nazlioglu of the charge of killing Hawi, the former leader of the bikie group.

Nazlioglu was shot dead in a shower of bullets in June when an unidentified gunman opened fire in the parking garage under his apartment in Rhodes, a west-side neighborhood of the city.

The Daily Mail Australia does not imply that Nazlioglu’s death was caused by a member of Hawi’s family.

Following his death, mob insiders stated that the deceased gangster and Mrs. Hawi had gotten into an argument in the cemetery.

They said that while the incident occurred in late May, it was never reported to the police and that when they visited Mrs. Hawi, she had no intention of filing a complaint.

After the murders of over a dozen people in Sydney’s underworld war, police believe that having cops on the scene would prevent an increase in gang-related violence.

According to a police source, “there have been disputes there amongst the various relatives when they go to visit.”

Instead of gangs, “it’s mainly the families when they go to pay their respects.”

According to NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Stuart Smith, the patrols would protect unintentional mourners while they visit their loved ones’ graves.

Police often monitor areas where we know members of organized criminal networks may gather in high-visibility as part of our commitment to keeping our community secure, he added.

It is our responsibility to ensure that these offenders don’t create issues or endanger the safety of law-abiding citizens.

With at least 14 men shot dead over the last two years, Sydney had gone six weeks without a deadly shooting. The city is now dealing with a brutal underworld battle.

According to reliable sources, the killed bikie recently caused conflict with a member of a renowned Sydney criminal family by taking his Bentley.

They said the Lamborghini was one among many high-end vehicles the former Lone Wolf bikie was accused of stealing and using as a means of extortion.

According to one insider, Nazlioglu’s murder is “just a matter of time” since Sydney is now a deadly area.

According to Daily Mail Australia, the shooter waited in a silver hatchback for Nazlioglu to exit the vehicle before opening fire on the mafia member.

Locals said they saw Mrs. Nazlioglu sobbing in the lobby and asking, “Why did they have to murder him?” while paramedics worked to rescue her husband.
