On Saturday, 16-year-old Brianna Ghey was found stabbed to death in a park in Warrington. Two 15-year-olds were charged with her murder.

This morning, a 15-year-old girl from Warrington and a 15-year-old boy from Leigh were charged with the ‘targeted attack’ that left the victim with many stab wounds.

Yesterday, Cheshire Constabulary stated that officers probing the murder were allowed a further thirty hours to question the two suspects.

The transgender youngster, whose relatives described her as “brave,” was discovered with several stab wounds in a Warrington park and died shortly thereafter.

On Tuesday night, a number of vigils were held in Warrington and Bristol in remembrance of the Cheshire youngster whose family was from Birchwood.

Numerous members of the LGBT+ community attended Brianna’s funeral, many carrying Pride and transgender flags and holding posters reading “Rest in Power” and “Rest in Love.”

A few days following Brianna’s death, crowds gathered in the city center of Bristol to memorialize her.

At the vigil on College Green in the city, mourners played music and laid photographs of the 16-year-old victim.

In the next days, members of the transgender community will also hold vigils in places such as London, Glasgow, Leeds, and Belfast.

The passing of Brianna has prompted an outpouring of sorrow from relatives and friends.

In a statement released after Brianna’s death, her family described her as a “much-loved daughter, granddaughter, and baby sister.”

The statement read, ‘She was a larger-than-life personality who left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Brianna was attractive, clever, and humorous. Brianna was courageous, courageous, and one-of-a-kind.

The loss of her young life has left a tremendous void in our family, and we are certain that her instructors and friends will feel the same way.

Previously, it was disclosed that the child had allegedly been victimized by a group of bullies at her school for being transgender, and that her father had filed a complaint.

There is currently no indication that these incidents are related to her murder.

At approximately 3.13 p.m., members of the public discovered Brianna lying injured on a path in Linear Park, Culcheth; she tragically passed away shortly thereafter.

Police said yesterday that they had been granted an additional 30 hours to continue questioning the two juveniles arrested on suspicion of her murder.

In recent days, distraught classmates and fellow students from Birchwood Community High School have been observed placing flowers and memorials near the location where she was discovered.

Damian Harry, whose 15-year-old daughter attended class with Brianna and was her friend, told MailOnline that his daughter was ‘devastated’ by her loss.

My daughter is devastated by Brianna’s passing. She had been vomiting due to the trauma of her distress.

The school’s principal, Emma Mills, told The Sun that the Birchwood community is “shocked and truly devastated” by Brianna’s death.

Ms. Mills stated, “This is an understandably difficult and distressing time for many, and we will do everything possible to support our students and the larger school community.”

Charlotte Nichols, the representative for Warrington North, stated on Tuesday, ‘I’ve seen a great deal of disinformation and conjecture about the events, including attempts to identify the suspects – this is unlawful and you risk prosecution if you do so.

“I understand that we all want answers about what happened, but please understand how distressing this is for Brianna’s family and friends, and that this behavior threatens to undermine efforts to secure justice for her.”

Let the cops do their job and allow Brianna’s family the space they require to grieve.

MailOnline has reached out to her institution for comment.
