‘Wrong place, wrong time,’ says French Montana of the Miami shooting

Rapper ‘French Montana’ releases a statement following a shooting at the celebration of the release of his ‘CB6′ mixtape on Thursday nightFrench Montana, a multi-award-winning Moroccan-American rapper, is counting his blessings after Thursday night’s celebration of his major accomplishment went violent.

Thursday night, at least ten individuals were hurt outside a Miami Gardens, Florida restaurant where the rapper was celebrating the release of his CB6 mixtape, according to CNN. After receiving a call regarding the incident shortly before 8 p.m. EDT, MDFR alerted the outlet that emergency units were dispatched to the scene.

“Upon arrival, fire crews discovered a number of patients with serious injuries. “In addition to finding injured patients at the initial location, firefighters encountered additional injured patients outside a nearby fire station,” according to emergency personnel.

“Firefighters began triage immediately to determine the extent of the patients’ injuries and to prepare them for transport to the hospital,”

“As a result of the incident, ten patients were harmed in all. Four of the patients self-transported to nearby region hospitals. MDFR transported the remaining 6 patients via road and air rescue to nearby trauma centers.”

Initially, it was reported that the rapper was shooting a music video, however, he has since come out to shed additional light. On Friday, January 6, the Unforgettable hitmaker published a statement on his Twitter account in response to the terrible incident. He stated that they were “in the wrong place and at the wrong time.”

“Last night, I was in Miami with pals to celebrate the release of my CB6 mixtape at a neighborhood restaurant. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time when an incident that resulted in injuries occurred. At this moment, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” he captioned the post.

In the comments section, French Montana’s fans expressed their relief that he was not injured and wished those who were injured a swift recovery.
