West Australian mixed martial artist loses life in Bali after losing control of his scooter

A West Australian mixed martial artist lost his life in Bali after losing control of his scooter and ending up in a drainage ditch, where his body was discovered the next day.

Around five in the morning on Sunday, a local saw the body of 26-year-old Keith Coughlan walking along a road in North Kuta.

As he called police to retrieve the rider’s body, the guy quickly saw that the rider’s legs had become stuck beneath the debris.

Following the discovery of seven beer bottles at the scene of the collision on Bali’s southern coast, police are looking into whether the Fremantle man was driving under the influence.

At Canggu Fight Night 23 just one month prior, Mr. Coughlan competed on the island and claimed victory in his first MMA match.

A 47-year-old Australian man also died in Bali a few days prior to the shocking discovery, after falling four stories from his hotel room to the pool deck below.

At around 8 p.m. local time on Wednesday, the man was allegedly seen’staggering’ inside room 403 at the Haven Hotel in Seminyak, Bali, before collapsing.

Witness Around 7.45 p.m., Sara Winata told CNN Indonesia that she heard shouting and people banging on the fourth-floor windows as she was on the hotel’s pool deck.

She informed the network that she went to the hotel’s room 403 with Ahmad Sopy, the security guy.

The two of them, according to Ms. Winata, were attempting to enter the room when they heard a tremendous bang coming from the pool deck below.

She claimed that when she and Mr. Sopy returned to the pool deck, they discovered the Australian man there.

The traveller had multiple shattered bones and a major brain injury when a nurse from Kuta II Health Centre pronounced him dead at the site.

In order to better understand how the man died, Kuta Police retrieved CCTV footage showing him “stumbling inside the hotel room number 403 alone.”

The tragic bike accident fatality of 31-year-old British visitor James Criddle has recently shocked Bali.

He was involved in a car accident on July 15 and received head injuries.

After seven hours of surgery, he was put into a coma and regrettably passed away on Thursday.

According to his family, he had kidney failure and 25 skull fractures. The collision also left him with a broken arm, a fractured cheekbone, and a dislocated jaw.

Joshua Connell, an Australian traveller, died in Bali earlier this month after falling 15 metres from the pool deck of his hotel in Phuket, Thailand, and landing on a tin café roof.

Just before he fell, Mr. Connell was spotted balancing on the pool’s fence.
