First responders discovered a single bakkie that had flipped several times after losing control on a sharp bend.
Paramedics from the Underberg Emergency Medical Services (UEMS) located two ejected bakkie occupants resting around 10 metres away from the vehicle.
Before emergency medical services could reach, they tragically succumbed to their injuries.
It was discovered that three more passengers were in severe condition after being trapped inside the bakkie’s cab.
UEMS advanced life support paramedics stabilised the patients before transporting them to a nearby hospital using specialised equipment.
