Teenager Fatally Stabbed and Found in Canal: Investigation Underway
The police have identified the teenager who tragically died after being discovered in a canal with stab wounds.
Victor Lee, a 17-year-old from Ealing, was found in the water near Ladbroke Grove in West London on Sunday.
Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday revealed that Victor died as a result of his stab injuries.
While formal identification is pending, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed Victor’s name as the victim.
The police have informed his family and are providing them with support through specially trained officers.
Following the incident, three boys aged 14, 15, and 17 were arrested on Friday and are currently in police custody.
The authorities are appealing for information and witnesses regarding the killing, which is believed to have occurred on the Grand Union towpath under Scrubs Lane.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie from the Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation.
He expressed condolences to Victor’s family and emphasized the need for further information.
The police are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who were in the vicinity of the Grand Union Canal towpath near the Scrubs Lane bridge or traveling on Scrubs Lane between 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm on the day of the incident.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed a fight or heard anything that may assist with the investigation to come forward.
Additionally, individuals who were driving in the area and have dash cam footage are requested to review their recordings and contact the police or Crimestoppers.
To support the appeal for information, the police will be present in the vicinity of Scrubs Lane on Sunday, July 2.
