Traffic jam as Ohio drivers rush after mystery cash

According to WHIO TV, a mystery flurry of cash appeared on an Ohio highway Tuesday afternoon. As cars tried to grab as many notes as they could, they created traffic backups.

Drivers are seen pulling over on I-71 in New Lebanon in a chaotic Ohio Department of Transportation video as banknotes spread across the lanes.

One motorist may be seen operating their vehicle with their door open and their hand extended.

Even the two traffic cops can be seen reaching down and taking some of their own money.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is looking into how the money got out on the road as well as if it is legitimate or counterfeit. WHIO was informed by dispatchers that the police had reports of a bag full of cash being tossed from a car.

According to a sergeant, the department has not been informed of any local businesses having money gone.
