Raquel Leviss, a cast member of the reality show “Vanderpump Rules,” returned to social media to update fans on her relationship with co-star Tom Sandoval following their months-long affair.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Leviss acknowledged the harm caused by their relationship and expressed regret for her actions.
She stated that her feelings for Sandoval were born out of a loving friendship, but she now needs to focus on her mental health, work on self-growth, and take time to be alone.
Leviss claimed she has sought counseling to end her unhealthy behavioral cycle and set stronger emotional boundaries.
Earlier on the same day, Leviss shared a lengthy statement on Instagram apologizing for her actions and choices, especially to Ariana Madix, her friends, and fans invested in their relationships.
She acknowledged her addiction to love and patterns of codependency, which have negatively affected others and prioritized intimate connections over her friendships.
Leviss claimed that she has been physically assaulted, lost friendships, received death threats, and hate emails since the affair, dubbed “Scandoval,” made headlines last week, referencing a sexually explicit video that she recently accused her co-stars of sharing.
She stated that she doesn’t expect sympathy, understanding, or forgiveness.
Leviss’s statement came after Tom Sandoval issued an apology to Madix via Instagram, acknowledging his mistakes, selfishness, and reckless decisions that hurt someone he loves.
He expressed regret and dishonor towards Madix and everyone around them.
