In a recent episode of the “Viall Files” podcast, Kristen Doute spoke about Tom Sandoval’s alleged “gaslighting” of his then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, into believing that his infidelity was her fault.
Doute, who dated Sandoval from 2007 to 2014, explained that there was no genuine apology from Sandoval after Madix discovered his affair with co-star Raquel Leviss.
Instead, Sandoval blamed Madix, saying that she never supported him or validated him.
Doute also claimed that Sandoval continued to make excuses even after he and Madix went their separate ways.
She wasn’t surprised by Sandoval’s behaviour and said that it’s “Tom to a T.”
Doute also revealed that Madix was left feeling like her entire relationship with Sandoval was “bulls–t.”
According to Doute, she wasn’t shocked that Sandoval went after Leviss, whom she called “dumb” with “no personality.”
Doute explained that Leviss validates everything that Sandoval needs to be validated and makes him feel “cool” and “talented.”
Meanwhile, Madix broke her silence on the matter on Instagram nearly two weeks after discovering X-rated messages from Leviss on Sandoval’s cell phone.
She thanked her friends and fans for their support during her “darkest hours” and said that she was devastated and broken.
Madix also revealed that many of her closest friends were also grieving this loss and reeling from the betrayal on so many levels.
Sandoval and Leviss have both apologized to Madix on social media, but Doute claims that the two women haven’t spoken since their initial confrontation.
Currently, Leviss and Madix are set to come face-to-face for the first time while filming the “VPR” reunion on March 23. “Vanderpump Rules” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
