Are you perplexed? I am perplexed. Since co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were removed from the air on December 2 due to an alleged affair, GMA3: What You Need to Know has had a series of temporary anchors.
Dr. Jennifer Ashton has been joined by DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally for the past week, and Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez for the previous week. But now, Ashton is taking a holiday break, as she stated on Friday’s (16 December) broadcast.
Yesterday (Dec. 19), we hypothesized that there might be three fill-in hosts; but, due to the final congressional hearing on January 6, ABC aired a live coverage of the events in Washington, D.C. instead of the scheduled show.
However, where does this leave us now? According to TMZ, the dethroned hosts will not return to the lunchtime program for the balance of the year due to the ongoing investigation and their pre-established holiday arrangements. But who will be filling in for Robach and Holmes on the 20th of December? And will the broadcast feature Dr. Jen Ashton? Read on to find out more.

The two hosts have been absent from the discussion program for the past two and a half, and soon to be three, weeks. In addition, Dr. Jennifer Ashton is absent from the program since she is on holiday.

However, it’s not all terrible news! Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ names remain in the opening sequence of the talk program. Before each broadcast, a narrator reads the phrase “Now, from Times Square, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes with Dr. Jen Ashton and What You Need to Know.”
Who is today’s replacement for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes?
DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally substitute for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on GMA3: What You Need To Know today. Morgan has been present since Friday, December 9, and Ally joined him on Monday of the following week.
In place of Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Dr. Darien Sutton, an ABC News Medical Contributor, joins the other two.
Where are T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach?
Rhiannon Alley revealed at the beginning of the program that she and DeMarco Morgan are “filling in” for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. The substitute anchors did not provide any extra information compared to the first week the two were removed off the air and replacement host Stephanie Ramos stated that they “had the day off.”
The absence of Dr. Jennifer Ashton was not addressed.
