Three women, 2 men missing after night out at bar in Newport

Family and friends are appealing for help in finding three women and two men who have been missing for two days following a night out at a bar in Newport.

The missing individuals are Sophie Russon, Eve Smith, and Darcy Ross, all 20 years old and from Newport, as well as Shane Loughlin and another man whose name is yet to be confirmed.

According to friends, the group went to the Muffler bar and club in Maesglas on Friday evening before heading to Trecco Bay in Porthcawl.

The women and the two men were last seen at around 2am on Saturday, and none of them have been active on social media or have made contact with friends or family since then. Ms Smith’s car was found at the Muffler club, according to her sister Lauren Doyle.

The families of the missing individuals are said to be “worried sick,” and friends and relatives have taken to social media to share pictures and urge anyone with information to come forward.

A relative of Shane Loughlin has confirmed that he is also missing, and the police are working with the families to find all five individuals.

The Gwent Police spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is underway. The news has shocked the local community, and everyone is hoping for a positive outcome.

Further details about the case are yet to emerge, but anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police.
