The iconic Glastonbury Festival will reopen next week, following the cancellation of events in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Billie Eilish, Sir Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, and Diana Ross will all perform at this year’s Glasto, including headline slots for Billie Eilish, Sir Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, and Diana Ross.

Music fans couldn’t get tickets for this year’s event because they were rolled over from the 2020 festival, but they’ll be able to snag a space at Worthy Farm in 2023 soon.

But when will Glastonbury tickets go on sale in 2023, and how can you sign up?

Everything you need to know is right here.

How to register for Glastonbury 2023 tickets?

Although the official date for Glastonbury 2023 has yet to be revealed, organiser Michael Eavis confirmed in a BBC Sounds interview that three of the event’s headliners had already been confirmed.

However, in order to be in with a chance of getting one of the much sought-after tickets, you must first register on the Glastonbury website.

The registration is being done in order to prevent ticket touts from buying up tickets, allowing more fans to attend the five-day event.

The link is normally up until the day before tickets go on sale, so music enthusiasts have plenty of time to join up.

Before you can register, you must first upload a photo from your computer.

According to the Glastonbury website, the photo must meet the following criteria:

  • A recent, colour photograph of the head and shoulders, in sharp focus with the entire face visible
  • You must be facing forward, looking straight at the camera, with a plain expression, your eyes open, and mouth closed
  • Your photo should be passport-standard and portrait orientation once cropped. Landscape photos will not be accepted
  • Photos must be taken against a plain and light background
  • Photos must not be altered by editing software or filters
  • Please ensure you have a neutral expression with your mouth closed and eyes open, looking directly at the camera
  • Please do not wear hats, sunglasses, or anything that covers your face and be free of glare from glasses or ‘red-eye’
  • Your photo must not contain other objects or people
  • The photo must be jpeg format, between 100KB to 500KB in size, and at least 900 pixels wide and 1350 pixels tall

After you’ve uploaded your photo, you can crop it and choose its orientation to satisfy the criteria listed above.

Following that, you can fill in your personal information, such as your title, name, email address, phone number, and home address.

If your photo is rejected, you will need to upload a new one in order to register.

Once it is accepted, you will receive your registration number and will be able to amend your information.

If you intend to purchase tickets for others, you must first register them all.

Anyone under the age of twelve when the gates open does not require a ticket or registration.

When are tickets expected to go on sale?

Glastonbury 2023 tickets are scheduled to go on sale in early October, though no date has been announced.

Fans will have many opportunities to purchase tickets, with a resale date usually designated for individuals who did not receive tickets during the general sale.

Glastonbury tickets are notoriously difficult to come by, with the event for 2020 selling out in just 33 minutes.

When resale tickets for this event became available, they were rolled over to 2021 and then again to 2022, making this year’s festival even more difficult to get into.

In March, the resale of tickets sold out in less than 20 minutes.
