The last batch of Sixty-three pilgrims from Oyo State arrive Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday morning

Sixty-three pilgrims from Oyo State landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday morning aboard a Boeing 747 jumbo plane.

The pilgrims, who arrived at 8 a.m., spent nearly six hours in the airport before removing their hand luggage.

The pilgrims joined other Nigerians travelling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj, bringing the total number of pilgrims from the State airlifted by Oyo State thus far to 655 on four flights, according to the Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun.

The Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Primary Health Board, Dr. Muhideen Olatunji, as well as representatives of the Muslim side of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh Abdulmajeed Akinwumi, and Alh Abdrahman Abubakri, are aboard the flight, according to Hon. Wasiu Olatunbosun.
