Colbert alleged the governor ‘abducted’ migrants from Texas and sent them to Martha’s Vineyard.

Colbert: ‘Last week, DeSantis kidnapped two planeloads of refugees and flew them to Martha’s Vineyard. ‘It was worse than we thought; he snatched them from Texas. For someone so concerned about boundaries, he doesn’t know where his state ends.

The comedian attacked DeSantis for alleging he used government money to transport migrants to Florida.

No one intends to go to Florida, Colbert added. ‘You’re compelled to go there for two reasons: you’re dying and want to eat pudding next to an alligator, or you want to construct your own lightsaber at Disney. Four hilt styles are offered.

Steven Colbert labeled Ron DeSantis a ‘gaping a-hole’ for deploying 50 Venezuelan refugees to Martha’s Vineyard.

Sheriff Javier Salazar is examining whether migrants were attracted to Martha’s Vineyard with false promises of financial and career support.

Salazar, in announcing the probe, called the flights political posturing.

Salazar: “I suspect criminal conduct.” We’re keeping an open mind and will examine if laws were breached.

Attorney Julio Henriquez said migrants ‘didn’t know where they were or where they were headed.’

DeSantis sneered at the inquiry when he spoke with Sean Hannity on Fox News after news of it leaked. Were they panicked? No.’

‘Migrants drowned in the Rio Grande. You neglected 50 in a trailer in Texas.’ Was there panic? Nope.

‘It’s only when 50 get put into Martha’s Vineyard – which said they wanted this, they said they were a sanctuary jurisdiction – these were destitute people put in a situation where they could have succeeded, but that was all virtue signaling, and not only did they not welcome them, but they deported them the next day with the National Guard. Please!

Migrants were given ‘Massachusetts Refugee Benefits’ booklets with an image of Edgartown Lighthouse on the cover.

The leaflet touted migrant perks like ‘up to 8 months of monetary aid,’ ‘help with housing,’ clothing and food, and ‘work placement, retention and upgrade services.’

Attorneys for migrants sent to Martha’s Vineyard produced a leaflet Monday.

They described the many aid programs they’d receive upon arrival, despite islanders maintaining they had no warning.

DeSantis said the migrants consciously volunteered to go to Martha’s Vineyard.

They all signed permission slips. The Florida dealer gave them a map of Martha’s Vineyard,’ he added.

So it was voluntary, and the rest is garbage.

They said they couldn’t provide housing.

DeSantis said the migrants knew where they were heading and volunteered for the trip.

What does that mean for poor Texas towns, if that’s true? What does it signify for other booming cities?

What does Biden’s depopulation of small communities mean? He said the ploy was successful in getting people to think about border security before the midterms.

We’ve shown that this border is a disaster. This is Biden’s worst policy, and people are talking about it.

We want Trump’s stay-in-Mexico policies re-instituted so we can control what’s happening there.

Ron DeSantis blasts ‘opportunistic activists’ for ‘political theater’ as a lawsuit claims he ‘exploited’ migrants with Martha’s Vineyard flight: Florida governor shares trip-consent form

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed ‘opportunistic activists’ who claimed in a lawsuit he ‘exploited’ migrants he flew to Martha’s Vineyard.

The class action suit claims the governor ‘planned and implemented a premeditated, dishonest, and criminal strategy to exploit [the migrants] for their own personal, financial, and political purposes.’

DeSantis organized to fly 50 migrants to the upscale island off Massachusetts, sparking a political maelstrom over immigration.

His office said the migrants signed consent forms before boarding a chartered jet to the island.

His spokesman said the action is ‘political theater’ by ‘opportunistic activists’ at the expense of illegal immigrants.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called a lawsuit claiming he exploited illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard ‘political theater.’ The governor just announced increased commuter toll relief.

All migrants had to sign an English-Spanish consent document before boarding the plane, said spokeswoman Taryn Fenske.

‘If these activists spent even a fraction of this time and effort at the border, perhaps some responsibility might be brought to the Biden Administration’s disastrous border policy,’ she said.

Fenske stated the trip to Martha’s Vineyard was ‘voluntary’ and supplied a consent form each migrant signed before boarding.

The paperwork were copied from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who first bused migrants to D.C. and NYC.

It adds, “I agree to hold the benefactor or its designated agents blameless of any liability arising out of or pertaining to injuries and damages that may occur during the agreed transport to locations outside of Texas until the final destination in Massachusetts.”

Fenske: ‘These activists didn’t care that the immigrants were homeless, hungry, and abandoned.’

Florida’s program gave them a fresh start in a sanctuary state, so they took chartered flights to Massachusetts.

Martha’s Vineyard’s decision to transport them off the island within 48 hours was upsetting.

Three migrants and a group sued.

In a court petition, they stated the migrants left crime-ridden Venezuela and surrendered to immigration authorities. They indicated they’re allowed to stay until judicial procedures.

Migrants claim DeSantis’ workers pretended to be good Samaritans outside a San Antonio immigration center in Bexar County.

They offered $10 McDonald’s gift cards to establish trust.

‘The Doe Defendants falsely promised plaintiffs and class members that they would get work, housing, educational opportunities, and other aid upon their arrival.

‘Next, the defendants put class members up for free in motels, away from the migrant center and good Samaritans,’ the lawsuit document adds.

The DeSantis administration paid $615,000 for two private chartered planes to carry migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

The defendants say they were directed to fly to Boston or D.C.

‘Defendants hid from Plaintiffs that they were supporting travel to make a political comment about immigration policy,’ the document said.

The migrants want compensation, emotional suffering, and punitive damages, their attorney bills met, and DeSantis to stop ‘enticing immigrants to cross state lines by deception and misrepresentation.’

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries dubbed DeSantis a ‘human trafficker’ after the act.

“When Biden flew these guys across the fruited plain at night, I didn’t hear a peep!” Florida Republican:

Tuesday morning, his office backed their decision.

After being abandoned, destitute, and ‘forced to fend for themselves,’ immigrants have left Bexar County. As expected, Florida offered them brighter pastures in a sanctuary state with more resources. Unless the MA national guard has abandoned them, they have been given housing, food, clothing, and other resources after being unfairly enticed into the U.S.

Gov. Charlie Baker claimed the billionaire’s enclave was ‘not equipped to provide sustainable lodging’ to the refugees, so Massachusetts called up the National Guard to manage them.

DeSantis copied Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s move. Abbott bused thousands of migrants to D.C., New York, and Chicago.

DeSantis was supposed to transport migrants to Delaware on Tuesday, but he didn’t. Biden joked that DeSantis should visit. Our coastline is gorgeous.

Gov. Charlie Baker moved illegal immigrants 48 hours after they arrived in the billionaire’s enclave, leaving several locals stunned.

Biden defended the high number of migrants entering the U.S. In the past 11 months, U.S. authorities conducted almost 2 million immigration arrests along the southern border.

The president stated the immigrants were from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.

Fewer Central Americans and Mexicans immigrate. Different situation. Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua are under my watch, and sending them back is irrational. We’re working with Mexico and other countries to stop the influx. he stated.

Venezuelan, Nicaraguan, and Cuban migrants accounted for more than a third of those apprehended along the border last month, a 175% increase over August of last year.
