Former Lawmaker Criticizes Buhari’s Governance
Shehu Sani, the former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, has strongly criticized the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, stating that it has been proven to be the worst in Nigeria’s history.
Sani made these remarks during the book launch of ‘The Nigerian Dream’ by activist Moses Paul in Abuja.
Wasted Time and Failed Appointments
According to Sani, Buhari wasted the time of Nigerians during his eight years in office and continuously extended the appointments of individuals who had failed in their responsibilities.
The senator expressed disappointment that while Buhari consistently accused past governments of corruption, his own tenure turned out to be the worst in the history of Nigeria.
Lack of Progress and Repetitive Manifestos
Sani lamented that despite 63 years of political independence, present-day politicians still rely on the same manifestos as the first-generation politicians.
He emphasized the need for politicians to work towards creating an improved version of the country, different from what they inherited.
Sani’s statement highlighted the shortcomings of Buhari’s administration and called for a break from the stagnant approach to governance.
He expressed his belief that the Nigeria of their dreams should be a progressive and upgraded nation, addressing issues such as infrastructure, education, unity, and other long-standing challenges that have yet to be adequately resolved.
