Oil Marketers Accused of Greed and Blackmail by Former Senator Shehu Sani

Sani expressed his dissatisfaction on Thursday, stating that these marketers consistently resort to threats and blackmail in their pursuit of personal gain.
His remarks come after reports surfaced, indicating that petrol prices in Nigeria might soon surge to as high as ₦700 per litre.
Senator Sani’s Condemnation of Oil Marketers
Senator Sani took to his Twitter account to voice his disapproval of the projected petrol price increase.
He directly called out the oil marketers, condemning their actions and accusing them of holding the country hostage through their relentless greed.
His tweet read, “Oil marketers projecting N700 per litre; that’s their way, always threatening and blackmailing the country for their greed.”
Former Lawmaker Criticizes Buhari’s Stance on Fuel Subsidy Removal
Matthew Urhoghide, a former lawmaker representing Edo South Senatorial District, recently expressed his views on the issue of fuel subsidy removal during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today program.
Urhoghide stated that former President Muhammadu Buhari had the power to eliminate fuel subsidy but lacked the political will to follow through.
