Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, expressed his thoughts on the announcement of the United States Presidential delegation attending the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Bola Tinubu on May 29 in Abuja.
The US delegation was revealed in a statement by US President Joe Biden, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening ties and maintaining diplomatic relations with Nigeria.

In a tweet from his verified Twitter account, Sani conveyed that President Biden’s decision to send a delegation for Tinubu’s swearing-in was a result of the diplomatic and business relations between the United States and Nigeria.
Sani emphasized that the message from the United States is that the ongoing dispute surrounding the 2023 presidential election primarily concerns Nigeria and not the United States.
Senator Shehu Sani’s tweet stated: “The US has diplomatic and business relations with Nigeria.
The US sending a delegation for the swearing-in of Asiwaju is in the spirit of that.
Their message is that the contention about our election is more of our problem and not their problem.”
