29 Russian citizens were subject to sanctions, including the former defense minister, the head of Rostec’s aviation cluster, Anatoly Serdyukov, and TV presenter Tina Kandelaki, who is currently the deputy general director of Gazprom Media Holding.

The sanctions also hit 70 businesses connected to the Russian defense industry, including Rostec, according to the US Justice Ministry.

Tina Kandelaki responded to her inclusion on the sanctions list:

“The world has changed and we will never be part of the old world. We were not welcome there before and we are not welcome there now either. Those who are trying to sit between two chairs, or vice versa, who have taken that foreign chair — they have my sympathies,” she wrote on Telegram channel.

The list also included Vasily Brovko, the Rostec State Corporation’s Director for Special Assignments.

Serdyukov was added to the sanctions list along with his children, son Sergei and daughter Natalya. Evgenia Vasilyeva, Serdyukov’s former subordinate, was also sanctioned.

The new sanctions list for legal entities consists of the following:

  • Research and Production Enterprise Svyaz;
