Rowdy Session at Inauguration of 10th Senate in National Assembly

During the inauguration of the 10th Senate at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, there was a heated and tumultuous session on the floor of the Red Chamber.

The Clerk of the National Assembly initiated the session, which involved voting for the positions of Senate President and Deputy Senate President for the 10th National Assembly.

Nominations for Senate President

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Federal Constituency, put forward the nomination of Senator Godswill Akpabio for the position of Senate President.

Senator-elect Olamilekan Yayi seconded Akpabio’s nomination.

Meanwhile, Senator Elisha Abbo, representing Adamawa North, nominated Abdulaziz Yari for the same position.

Senator Ibrahim Jimoh seconded Yari’s nomination.
