Roommate allegedly murdered man “for throwing food”

When they tossed food on the ground, a guy savagely beat his roommate to death and then partly buried him in a shallow grave.

In Fort Pierce, Florida, US, Bryan Marquez, 22, admitted to killing and burying his roommate in the backyard of their house.

After receiving allegations of blood in the backyard garden and what seemed to be a shallow grave, police were sent to the residence.

When police came, they discovered the victim, who had been identified as Guanajuato, in an 18-inch-deep grave with his foot half exposed.

The initial police on the scene were caught off surprise, Fort Pierce Police Sergeant Charles Donnon said CBS12.

Everyone was on edge immediately away since the location of the deceased was a very tiny one and they first were worried that it was a youngster.

Blood, shovels, plywood, gloves, pebbles, and a blanket were also found in the yard by the police.

At the scene, Marquez acknowledged to perpetrating the crime.

They got into a fight about food earlier in the day, according to Donnon. He didn’t like the fact that our victim had wasted food.

“He said he got drunk throughout the day, approached him at night, and that’s what he did,” the reporter said.

On December 12, Marquez, who had a warrant out for his arrest, was instantly brought into jail.

Marquez claimed to have murdered his roommate, Guanajuato, when questioned by police.

He claims that Guanajuato insulted him before spilling the contents of his plate. Marquez said that in addition to punching the victim in the face, nose, and ribs, he also put mud and gravel into his mouth.

He asserts that when Marquez urged his roommate to rise up, the roommate did not, and as a result, Marquez dragged the victim’s corpse across the yard and dug a hole.

The victim’s age was determined by the autopsy to be between 35 and 45 years old. His official identification hasn’t been made public.

It is believed that they were both unable to work in the United States, and Marquex is presently in the custody of ICE.

First-degree murder is the accusation brought against Marquez.
