Rihanna has announced that she will be voicing the character of Smurfette in The Smurfs Movie at CinemaCon.

The singer appeared at the Las Vegas event wearing a denim dress and joked about not getting the role of Papa Smurf.

Rihanna also expressed excitement at the prospect of impressing her children with the role, and revealed that she would be performing in her third trimester.

Katy Perry and Demi Lovato have previously voiced the female character in Smurfs projects.

Rihanna’s other acting credits include Ocean’s 8 and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

In March, Rihanna performed at the Oscars and shared a video of her son watching her music video for Lift Me Up.

She also revealed that she was expecting her second child during her Superbowl half-time show earlier this year.

Rihanna recently shared a close-up photograph of her son’s face, who appeared to be upset at not being invited to the Oscars.

In the same post, she included a throwback photograph of her “fat man”.

Rihanna welcomed her son last year and spoke to British Vogue about how becoming parents had brought her closer to partner, ASAP Rocky.

Rihanna’s announcement about her role in The Smurfs Movie is notable because it adds to her growing list of acting credits.

It also demonstrates her ability to combine her career with motherhood, as she will be performing in her third trimester.

The post about her son being upset at not attending the Oscars is relatable and charming, showing a more personal side to the singer.

This announcement may also generate excitement among children and fans of The Smurfs franchise.
