Prince Louis was not amused.

On Christmas Day, the 4-year-old prince was photographed tugging on his mother’s arm in an attempt to persuade her to stop talking.

It was the first time that the youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales joined his parents and siblings, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, for the royal family’s customary holiday church service.

Although it appeared that Louis attended the service last year, COVID-19 procedures prevented the royals from walking to the service and greeting members of the public waiting outside.

Louis is quite the family jokester, having grabbed the show at the Platinum Jubilee festivities for the late Queen Elizabeth II in June.

During an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Trooping of the Colour ceremony, the child made a number of memorable funny faces.

Prince Louis walked to the Christmas church service for the first time.

When he was found putting his hand over his mother’s mouth while she watched the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, he exhibited behavior that was obviously unregal but perfectly age-appropriate.

He also got into an argument with his cousin Lena Tindall, who refused to share candies with him.

The antics of Louis at the Platinum Pageant went viral.

William and Kate appear to have recognised the celebration’s breakout star.

In a collection of Instagram images from the four days of celebrations, they said, “We all had a fantastic time, especially Louis…”

Lena, Zara and Mike Tindall’s 4-year-old daughter, was present.

This year, more than one little royal made his first Christmas walk.

Zara and Mike Tindall brought their daughters Mia and Lena with them to the service and walkabout, while their one-year-old son Lucas remained at home.

Princess Beatrice was accompanied by her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and stepson, Christopher Woolf.

Princess Beatrice attended with her stepson Christoper Woolf and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but their one-year-old daughter Sienna remained at home. Princess Eugenie, sister of Beatrice, was also present with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. Additionally, they left their one-year-old son August at home.

It is certain to be a melancholy Christmas for the royal family, as it is the first since Queen Elizabeth II passed away at age 96 in September.
