Kate Middleton said Prince Louis comforted her by saying, ‘She’s with great-grandpa’

Kate Middleton reportedly “welled up” while recalling a moment with Prince Louis following the death of the Queen.
Middleton informed the public on Saturday that Prince Louis advised her not to worry.
According to the Princess of Wales, 4-year-old Louis said, “She is now with great-grandfather.”

According to his mother, Kate Middleton, Prince Louis offered reassuring words following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Princess of Wales revealed with members of the public outside of Windsor Castle during an appearance with Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle the reaction of her youngest son to the news of the Queen’s death on Thursday.

The moment was captured on camera and published via TikTok by @magsmay1 on Saturday. As of Sunday, the video had over 1.9 million views. The TikToker told Insider that her daughter Nicole Anna Gumienny, who accompanied her from Hampshire, England, to see the royals in Windsor, captured the video.

In the film, Middleton can be heard telling the audience, “My little Louis is just so sweet,” in reference to how he reacted to the news of the Queen’s passing. “He said, “Mother, don’t fret. She is currently with great-grandpa.”

Gumienny told Insider that it was an honor to meet the royal family during a difficult time for their family. “When Kate told the narrative, the emotion was palpable,” she added. “My eyes began to water as she mentioned her Prince Louise’s statement that the Queen is now with her great-grandfather.”

Rebecca English, the royal editor of the Daily Mail, tweeted on Saturday that a well-wisher called Banita Ranow stated Kate Middleton read the story to a group of children in Windsor.

“Ms. Ranow stated that Kate was ‘tearing up’ as she spoke,” wrote English.

Louis, age 4, mentioned his great-grandfather, Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021 at the age of 99. His marriage to Queen Elizabeth II lasted 73 years, making him the longest-serving British consort in history.

Louis’s words matched some of Charles III’s concluding remarks from his first speech as king on Friday.

Charles, 73, stated, “To my lovely Mama, as you embark on your final grand journey to join my dearly departed Papa, I simply want to say thank you.”

Louis is one of the ten great-grandchildren that Queen Elizabeth II has left behind. June’s Platinum Jubilee provided the pair with a number of unforgettable experiences, including some humorous ones.

During the Trooping the Colour, Louis stood next to his great-grandmother and expressed his emotions to the grandeur and festivities held in honor of the monarch’s 70th anniversary on the throne.

Other photographs from the day depicted the two talking and the Queen smiling with one of her younger relatives.
