The leaders highlighted the need to bolster global security as well as the steps that must be taken to cut off the finances that are fueling Putin’s war machine.

The leaders condemned Putin’s efforts to weaponize energy, and the Prime Minister said that Russia’s blackmail must not discourage the West from guaranteeing Putin’s demise. She also emphasised the need of ensuring that the United Kingdom and its allies maintain their energy independence.

She commended the Ukrainians’ battle for sovereignty and self-determination, saying it was critical that Ukraine win and Russia lose.

The Prime Minister expressed her excitement at the prospect of working with the President in the next weeks and months, and she accepted an offer to visit President Zelenskyy in Ukraine shortly.
