Female teacher of the year nominee charged with statutory rape of a child under 15, sex act with a student, and indecent liberties with a child

A female high school English teacher who was nominated for teacher of the year was arrested for various sex offences, including statutory rape of a child under the age of 15.

Amanda Doll, 37, was arrested on Friday by Johnson County Sheriff’s officers and charged with three counts, including statutory rape of a minor under the age of 15, sex act with a student, and indecent liberties with a child, according to WNCN.

The suspected pedophile’s teaching employment at West Johnston High School was terminated the same day she was arrested.

According to ABC11 News, she is presently being detained without bail at the Johnston County Detention Center.

Doll, a WCE graduate, was previously honoured and nominated for ‘2022 Remarkable First Year Teacher’ for her outstanding performance in the classroom.

Doll has only been at the school since May of 2021, beginning as a substitute teacher before being promoted to her present position, according to school authorities.

This is the third time in a 12-year span that high school employees have been arrested for obscene and illegal conduct.

According to arrest warrants, the alleged acts took place between October and December 2008 at school and at Britt’s previous apartment in Four Oaks.

He entered an Alford plea and spent 45 days in prison for the sex offences.

Todd Fair, 40, a former West Johnston High School school resource officer, transmitted improper images to a kid in 2011.

He admitted to one count of transmitting obscenity to a person under the age of 16.

Fair, a 10-year veteran of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, was sentenced to three to four months in jail, suspended for 18 months on probation, according to WRAL.

According to the investigation, Fair was forced to forfeit his law enforcement certification and was no longer permitted to contact the student as a result of the event.

When a former West Johnston High School student, who graduated in 2019, discovered about Doll’s heinous actions, he was taken aback.

He went on to say that this was not the first time something like this had occurred at his alma institution, mentioning the heinous deeds of two former school workers.

‘I don’t know what’s going on at that school,’ Lipscomb said, WNCN reported. He added: ‘I feel like they should be doing something to crack down on that.’
