Police investigating arson attack on former home of woman who conspired to kill her ex-husband

The former home of Coleen Campbell, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison for her role in a plot to kill and torture her ex-husband, was targeted in an arson attack in Clayton, east Manchester.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters, and no injuries were reported. Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Campbell’s ex-husband, Thomas Campbell, was murdered in his own home in Mossley in July 2022 after being ambushed by three people, including Campbell.

The attack involved hours of torture, with blood covering the walls when police arrived at the scene. One attacker, Reece Steven, has been sentenced to a minimum of 37 years in prison, while another, John Belfield, is wanted for the same crime and is currently on the run. The identity of the third attacker remains unknown.
