The FBI and Metropolitan Nashville Police are investigating an attempted arson of a pro-life pregnancy center in Nashville, Tennessee

A pro-life pregnancy centre in Nashville, Tennessee, was vandalised and had the words “Janes Revenge” inscribed on the side at roughly 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. The FBI and Metropolitan Nashville Police are looking into an attempted arson there.

According to Nashville Police, when officers from the Midtown Hills Precinct arrived at the scene at the Hope Clinic for Women at 1:40 a.m., they found a broken window and “an unignited Molotov cocktail-type device” inside the building. According to authorities, the device is being examined in a lab.

According to police, the destruction committed against the facility on June 24 in Nashville was the first in response to the Roe v. Wade decision overturned by the US Supreme Court. According to the police, they are collaborating with the clinic to tighten security.

According to Kailey Cornett, executive director and CEO of Hope Clinic for Women, the window has been replaced and the graffiti has been removed.

“We’re all back in shape,” she said.

Following the news of the vandalism, Cornett noted that her staff has been inundated with prayers and support, and she expressed gratitude for them.

“We are here to do what we’re called to do and that’s to serve women,” she said. “We were able to rally around each other and support each other yesterday but I think that we’re ready to get back to providing care today.”

Since the court’s ruling returning abortion regulation to the states, there have been an increase in attacks against Catholic churches and pro-life pregnancy facilities. Using the interactive map below, CNA is keeping track of the incidences.

In June, the FBI declared that it was looking into a string of incidents involving assaults and threats against religious and pro-life organisations around the country.

In these vandalism occurrences, the phrase “Jane’s Revenge” is frequently written in graffiti.

It is still unknown whether Jane’s Revenge is a real organisation or just a slogan.
