An inquiry has been opened by the police after the death of a guy who was detained on suspicion of stabbing another man in Manchester, while the victim of the attack is still being treated in the hospital.
Officers were sent to Park Lane in Leigh shortly after 9 o’clock yesterday night in response to allegations of a stabbing, where they discovered a male who had been hurt.
After the assault, he was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his life-threatening injuries while the suspect ran away from the scene.
However, a short time later, the suspect became’seriously ill,’ according to a statement issued by the police. Although officers were able to rapidly capture him, they were unable to arrest him.
The male victim regrettably passed away in spite of the best efforts of the cops and emergency services personnel who were present at the site, according to a spokeswoman.
The statement that “an investigation has been initiated, and police will stay at the site to undertake additional investigations” is accurate.
