Police dog goes on savage attack, bites three people before being stabbed in the neck

In a savage attack, a police dog went on a rampage and bit three people before being stabbed in the neck.

The K-9 had escaped from its kennel on March 4 and started roaming the streets of Windy Hills in Jacksonville, Florida.

Some locals believed it was friendly and tried to place a leash around its neck to help locate its owner.

However, when one of the people attempted to bring the animal into their home, the dog attacked them, followed by two others who tried to intervene.

The brutal attack continued until one of the victims used a knife to stab the dog in the neck to subdue it.

The officers who arrived at the scene were unaware that the animal belonged to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department and thought it was a stray.

The K-9 was taken to the vet, where it underwent surgery and then recovery. The name of the dog has not been revealed to protect the identity of its police officer handler.

Victims’ lawyer says they are not taking legal action but want compensation

The three victims were treated for their injuries, with officials stating that they were okay, but the extent of their wounds was not disclosed.

The victims’ lawyer, Lawrence Najem, said that the trio were not taking legal action but were in talks with the city about getting their medical expenses paid and receiving compensation for the time they’ve had to take off work.

He added that the attack left some mental scars on the victims, as it was a traumatic event, and they were unable to stop the animal from attacking them, which went on for a long time.

This incident is a reminder that even trained police dogs can become aggressive and pose a danger to the public if not handled correctly.

It is essential for police departments to have strict guidelines and training programs in place for their K-9 units to prevent such incidents from occurring.

Additionally, dog owners must ensure their pets are secure in their enclosures to prevent them from escaping and causing harm.
